New WBF Disciplinary Code and Investigations Committee

The WBF Executive Council met last week via Zoom and approved a new Disciplinary Code and the creation of an Investigations Committee. Previously, investigations were handled by the High-Level Players’ Committee.

The new code has been posted to the WBF website. I’ve also posted a letter I received along with the new code from WBF President Gianarrigo Rona.

Part 3 – Disposing Of Rules

Third in the series. As is true for all proposals thus far, if all four players agree to ‘no delay’ then (hopefully) they will have the option to choose that. However, doing so will mean they lose their right for redress for UI that would have been concealed by a delay. For example, if RHO wins trick 1 and instantly switches to their singleton, declarer would have no redress for UI if LHO won and worked out to give RHO a ruff based on that tempo.
